One day , page some one asked me “Do you know what is the highest mountain in the world?”. I told him “It’s Mt. Qomolangma”. He smiled and asked another question ” What is the second one?”. “Er….Sorry, this I don’t know”. So , I googled it, and wrote here to remember it.

Mt Qomolangma (aka Mt. Everest or Sagarmatha ) , standing at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) , is the highest mountain in the world.It is located between Tibet,China and Sagarmatha,Nepal. It is the part of Himalayan Mountain Range.It is the highest but it is not the most difficult to climb.For now , many people with professional technology reached the summit. On 9 October 2005, after several months of measurement and calculation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping officially announced the height of Everest as 8,844.43 m (29,017.16 ft) with accuracy of ±0.21 m (0.69 ft).

Mt Qogir(aka Mt. K2), With a peak elevation of 8,611 m (28,251 feet), is part of the Karakoram Range, and is located on the border between Baltistan, in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, and the Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County of Xinjiang, China. It is hazardous to climb. The fatality rate is 1:7,So It’s named Savage Mountain. For now , only five female climbers have reached the summit,but all of them died abnormally.

Mt.Kangchenjunga,contains five peaks,four of them over 8,450 m (27,720 ft). The highest of them is the “Kangchenjunga Main” about 8,586 m (28,169 ft) and located along the India-Nepal border in the Himalayas. Kangchenjunga means The Five Treasures of Snows. The treasures represent the five repositories of God, which are gold, silver, gems, grain, and holy books.
